May 22, 2015:

I haven’t written anything in 3 weeks, I’m over a month behind, and I’m actually pretty sad that I haven’t kept up with this.

I was just going to give up on it because I feel like I’m so far behind I can’t catch up anymore, but I’m going to power through and try to post as much as I can today. And I know I’ve said it before, and it definitely defeats the purpose when I post so much after the fact, but oh well, just a learning experience for the next time I want to try a challenge like this!

Anyway this particular Friday was Day 1 of LED, which was definitely an adventure. I was pretty nervous to be honest because I didn’t know what to expect, and I didn’t actually know most of the people I was going with. But I’m happy about the way it turned out, and I had a pretty great time.

Here’s the night summed up from what I remember:

-Met a lot of Roger and Jamie’s friends, and Vivian made a comment about how skinny all the girls were…sigh.
-It’s hard for me to be in that kind of setting because I get very self-conscious, and it’s hard for me to get out of my head. But I’m glad that I eventually stopped overthinking. Just had to focus on the lights and the music, right? haha
-Diffraction glasses are pretty cool.
-Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and ahhhh definitely good vibes all around. And everyone looked out for each other which was nice.
-Okay but despite the mostly good vibes holy shit there are definitely still creepy people out there. *shudder* I’m glad Daniel was there.
-It really was unlike anything else I had ever experienced, and I can see the hype of why people enjoy these events so much now.
-It was a night of many, many firsts. A memorable night to say the least.
-By 3 AM, I was feeling pretty tired, but it didn’t end until 4. By the end of it, I was exhausted. I don’t know how people do this for multiple days in a row.

I feel like I did a pretty shitty¬†job of summarizing my LED experience, but all I can say is that I’m glad I decided to go, I met a bunch of awesome people, and despite a couple things here and there, I spent the night feeling pretty happy.

May 21, 2015:

It was my sister’s birthday, and she turned 28! She was having her celebration at Rock Bottom, which is only like 5 minutes away from my work. I had that realization earlier in the day that all the people there were going to be at least her age and even older since her boyfriend is thirty.

Luckily, my cousin was there, so I got to catch up with him and have some interesting talks, haha. This was the first birthday of my sister’s that I could actually go out and drink with her! Had my first shot with my sister which was weird because we don’t really drink together… and then she threw up shortly after (l o l).

I should’ve just gone home straight after, but I didn’t. It’s okay though–lesson learned.

May 20, 2015:

Went to Souplantation after work with Roger and Steven, and it was my first time at the Clairemont Mesa location! Lolol does that count as part of my “trying new food places” goal? .. probably not.

I got back home and almost immediately knocked out on the couch. Grandma life is too real.

… my motivation to write these posts is lessening… but feeling stubborn to try to finish anyway.
Not sure if I don’t have anything to write about because a lot of the days are similar, or if it’s just laziness.

May 19, 2015:

So I know I’m like two weeks behind on my posts now, but basically what I’ve been doing is just posting bullet points of my days so that I can go back and elaborate later… But literally all I wrote for this day was “Flash finale,” LOL. TV is such a normal part of my daily routine.

But really, sad this season is over already! Grant Gustin is definitely bae, though I always think of his character from Glee every time I see him, haha. The whole time travel thing bothers me though because I feel like there are so many plot holes (though I’m probably over analyzing). Hmm what show should I start next?

May 18, 2015:

So it was my first official day in my new position at work, which was just new hire orientation anyway. Since I already had my security badge and parking pass, I didn’t have to get there until 9:00 (yay for sleeping in!).

Orientation was about how you’d expect it to be, watching videos about the company’s culture and values, taking a tour of the building, learning about our benefits, etc.

The highlight was that I got to leave at 3:30! And for someone who usually leaves at 6:30, 5:00 on an early day, I felt like I had so much time left in my day. I seriously felt so free, and that I could do whatever I wanted, haha. Yes, the exciting moment I get out a whole three hours early.

I didn’t want to go home because I knew I’d end up doing nothing and wasting the rest of my day, so I called Steven and went to UTC to keep him company while he got his tires replaced. We went to Dirty Birds for half off wings and ordered way too much. I definitely want to go back and try their other flavors.

Spent the rest of the night relaxing and watching Elementary and such.

May 17, 2015:

Went shopping with Roger, Andrew Thai, and Jon Woo at Fashion Valley. I’m not really sure why I feel like I have to say Andrew and Jon’s last names, but it feels weird if I don’t, haha.

Anyway, it was kind of funny because every store we’d go to, I would split off from the group, go to the girl’s side, and then come back and find them again. Surprisingly, I was the one who bought the least… Say what? Managed to buy two tops and a skirt though.

I’ve been wanting to dress up lately but haven’t had the occasion to.

May 16, 2015:

Considering we went to sleep at like 3 or 4 in the morning, I’m surprised that I actually made it to work at 8. I didn’t feel too bad until around 9:30 when the exhaustion kicked in. Glad one of my managers brought in breakfast and stuff though.

Headed back to Roger’s after to relax/take a nap, but I ended up just watching movies and shows with him. I had never seen Rise of the Guardians, and I actually really liked it. Why wasn’t it more popular??

We went to Spicy City (yay for continuing to try new places), and then headed back for poker night. Knocked out again at like 3ish? Pt. 2 of late night/crashing at Roger’s place.
